T he success of every company is not solely measured by its economic growth.  Social and ethical values have become increasingly important. By defining their ethical standards, the rental companies define obligations and duties they owe to their customers, suppliers, employees and society as a whole. Common topics present in the ethical standards include conflicts of interest, human rights, political contributions, and acceptance of gifts.

Suggested action points

  • Develop a code of conduct. to encourage management and employees to make better informed decisions based on the company’s beliefs and attitudes towards business practices within the rental industry. 
  • Engage in welfare initiatives by providing a financial, logistical or other kinds of support.
  • Set up internal communication and adjacent actions to promote ethic values of the rental business.
  • Interact with your suppliers and discuss your operation standards. This can lead to more sustainable solutions.
